Michelle Hargreaves has been riding since the age of 5, competed in the Piedmont area throughout her teens and then for the NCSU Equestrian Team as she attended North Carolina State University and graduated with an Animal Science Degree. Afterwards Michelle went to Plumpton College in the UK and received her higher degree in Equine Management. While over in England, Michelle received her qualifications to be a British Horse Society qualified instructor. She also competed and trained horses while lecturing at the Plumpton College and the University of Brighton in Horse Management courses.
Michelle’s specialty is in Eventing (Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross-Country), and Hunter/Jumper Riding. Since 2008 Michelle has instructed the students of Wake Forest University and is their Coach for the Hunter/Jumper and Dressage Team. Both teams are highly competitive and have taken students all the way to Nationals. In 2010 Salem College Equestrian Team moved to Hidden K Stables and began competing in both the IHSA and IDA organisations. Hidden K Stables is an approved Pony Club Riding Center where Michelle is the Center Administrator and main Instructor to many Pony Club members that love to learn, Rate up and Rally throughout the disciplines. Michelle enjoys instructing all levels and all ages, she believes everyone can find a discipline to enjoy with horses. In 2011, Michelle became the Executive Director of Hidden K Stables Rescue and Rehab (a 501c3 non-profit organization) that gives back to the Equestrian Community through retraining rescue horses and educating the public in Horse Management.
