Salem College Team

Salem College joined the intercollegiate world in Fall 2010 and competes in IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) Zone 5 Region 4 and in IDA (Intercollegiate Dressage Association) Region H.

The equestrian team is comprised of riders who do IHSA and/or IDA and travel around multiple times per semester for horse shows at the hosting college. We have members from walk/trot all the way up to open; since we are a small team it gives the chance for every rider to compete at every show.

Michelle Hargreaves is the coach/trainer for the Salem College team and is fantastic and excels all the riders to their full potential. She has the team ride twice a week, once in a group lesson and once in a group hack, and works around class schedules for each student/rider.

The team is always open to new riders who will be financially committed as well as sharing their passion on this competitive team. Salem College is known for their sisterhood and it is continued on the equestrian team.
