US Pony Club
Hidden K Stables is excited to be one of the few facilities in the country to take part in this new United States Pony Club program which makes Pony Club accessible to riders who do not otherwise have access to their own horse. Of course, those riders with their own horses are also welcome to take part in all the Hidden K Stables Riding Center programs.
The USPC is open to all junior riders under the age of 21. The word pony describes horses of all sizes and breeds – not just ponies!
Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world, represented in 30 countries, with more than 12,000 members.
Programs are offered in dressage, eventing, show jumping, mounted games, and quiz.
During “unmounted” meetings members learn about feeding, shoeing, veterinary care, and other areas of horse management. Under adult supervision, the more experienced Pony Club members instruct and assist younger members learning how to be a mentor and a leader.
Why is Pony Club Special?
Pony Club is unique among riding organizations because its educational programs place equal emphasis on the teaching of riding skills, horse-care fundamentals, and team participation with sportsmanship. Pony Club prepares its members to take on the responsibilities of owning a horse by the judging of Horse Management at all its competitive rallies.
